Questions have been rambling through the community about this talented performer. Laura Benton is not originally from Ohio she was born and raised in California. She relocated to Zanesville to be close with her family about three years ago. She did not intend on starting a music career but when she first performed locally, which was a year ago, people couldnt stop talking about her. When she started out she was singing Broadway, jazz, opera and pop but she decided that wasnt what the people wanted to hear so she crossed over to country which got her even more notoriety. A lot of things have changed for Laura Benton this last year. The music career took off and overwhelmed her and her family. Phones started ringing, bookings were taking place, and articles were being written. This was all happening too fast for a girl who had never experienced the lifestyle of the music industry before but she wasnt about to pull on the reigns either. It made her hungry, persistent, and determined to go after her dream as a performer. There are many sides of Laura Benton being multi-talented, sometimes you may hear her every now and then singing her theatrical Broadway tunes or crooning to the sultry sounds of jazz but dont let that fool you because she has been noted as the Local hottest new country singer.
